Muslims Rulers and Governors

The Caliph Omar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) Asked the people of Homs to write to him the names of the poor and needy in Homs to give them their share from the house of the Muslims money .. When he received the names, the Khalifa was surprised that the name of the governor of Homs "" Amer bin Said"" is among the names of the poor !!!

By the way , The khalifa Umar ibn Alkhattab asked the people of Homs "" why the governor is one of the poor and needy of the city ??!! ""

They replied : "" he spent all his salary on the poor and the needy and say (that is what i must do since i become responsible of you in front of Allah the almighty) ""

The khalifa Umar asked the people of Homs again : "" Is there any negative thing about him that you want to complain to me about it ?? ""

They answered him : "" Yes , three things ; he does not come out to us, but at Duha time .. And we do not see him at night, never .. And we dont see him for a whole day every week .""

When the khalifa Umar asked the governor of Homs about those blemishes ,

he responded: "" This is a right, O Commander of the Faithful ,The reasons are .. I do not go out except after Duha time because my family need my help and my wife is sick and can not help me so i do everything to them .
The people dont see me at night because i spend the day serving them and i spend the night worshipping Allah ..

Finally i dont go out for a whole day everyweek because i wash my clothe and i wait for it to dry because i i dont have another clothe ..

When the khalifa Umar listened to the governor "" Amer bin Said"" 's reasons, he cried and gave him money .. and as usually , "" Amer bin Said"" distributed this money to the poor and needy even before the khalifa Umar go out .

==> This is Islam , those are the good examples of muslims rulers and governors , not those thieves who rule us today , i really feel pity for the muslim Ummah because all the rulers today arent religious and they dont fear Allah and they dont care about the poor and needy at all , poor us , may Allah save us from them and give us strength to have Islam again in our societies .
