This is my new obsession that I won from a giveaway! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this thing. You have to put this on the top of your Christmas list. Once you see and feel a laminated product from this little miracle maker I promise you might never go back!

I Really Can't Contain Myself!

Well, this day started off like a charm... Up early, one appointment and right around the corner a little store called Dollar Tree. I had to stop in to get a BIG bag for one of my best teacher friends birthday! Well, and what do my eyes spy? OM~gosh, a ONE DOLLAR HAND POINTER! I had to take a moment and make sure I wasn't giving myself high blood pressure and collect my thoughts! Yes, it IS exactly the same as the ones you pay five dollars for teacher friends. Trust me, I have inspected every inch of this gem. You better run and get them while they are there!
But before I leave to go get some more... I wanted to share with you one of my favorite summer finds, my binder easel. I learned about binder easels from Beth at Primary Connections. I am using one for my morning greeting to my students as they walk in the door. I just love this idea. In the coming days, I will share some other fun ideas for this so cute binder easel.

hIf You Take a Mouse to School If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (If You Give...)When I heard that Ingles 360 was having a Laura Numeroff book party I had to join in the fun! I lover her books. My favorite of all time is If you Bring a Mouse to School. I always love reading that book on the first day. And then I started thinking... I love If You Give a Mouse a Cookie! Which reminded me of my last post about my favorite find... my Smart Cookies poster! I thought what a great way to tie these two favorites together!

Did You Get Your Smart Cookie?

When I found this at Target I really went crazy! This is my favorite find of all my back to school shopping. It is the Smart Cookie Poster set available at Target by Artskills! I LOVED it so much I immediately went to my Math Friends text list and sent some texts. People are telling me they are having a hard time finding their Smart Cookies, oh my! I wanted all my friends to get in on the fun, so I asked some questions and this is what I have learned. Smart Cookies and the other great teacher products are only available at Target right now. And they are in the section where the poster stuff is, not the school supply section and not the famous Dollar Spot! But the real secret is this... these products are 2.50 each! No, that is not a typo! They should be right up there in the dollar spot! An insider told me that Target keeps some extra stock of these products right there in the store! Maybe it is a good idea to ask the most friendly worker you see. Right now, I am secretly looking for the other bulletin board sets and the big letters that go with it. I am hunting down the Crayon Box set, the 100 Day Apple Tree and the Paint one too!
Back to the Giant Smart Cookies Jar...
What does this have to do with Christmas in July? Well, at Christmas I am going to put Christmas cookies in my Smart Cookie jar! I am going to be counting Smart Cookies all year long! I am mounting mine on foam board with adhesive spray because I want to model some counting strategies with Smart Cookies! And as the year progresses, I am going to incorporate problem solving, oh my! Now, do you blame me for falling in love with my Smart Cookies?

End of Year Party!

WHEW! It has been a LONG week of testing already. I just needed something, anything to get my mind off assessments, so I started thinking about the end of school party. I recently found some ice cream cones tucked away from a previous project, sooooo I thought I would give ice cream cone cupcakes from Betty Crocker a try! Everybody knows you just can't go wrong with Betty!

Cinco de Mayo!

A smart teacher friend gave me this book to read today. It is the very best book to read to Kindergarten because it is a fiction and non fiction book all in one. The pictures were great and for once a book like this was written with the young child in mind! The children liked it too! You have to order this one if you have a Cinco de Mayo unit at school. More pictures later...ole'!

United We Stand for the Education of Texas Children!

I have nothing but great memories from our trip to rally at the capitol. I wish I had more pictures but with rally signs in hand, patriotic bag and red sequin red rally shoes on, I have to say it was difficult to snap rally pics! I sure hope Rick can still hear us and I hope he doesn't let the children of Texas down. We know these kids deserve the best and that is why we marched with the best of them...Texas style! Oh and yes..with red sequin rally flip flops and glitter sprayed shirts!

Fantastically Fabulous Fiesta!

Lots and lots of emails for the dinnerware sets! The plates that were in the picture, on the blog, were bought a year ago! I LOVED them so much that I bought two sets. I have looked for a third set and could not find them but I found this one and I think it could coordinate with the other and I LOVE how this one is square! I will also post more information about the Fantastically Fabulous Inventory Bags later tonight. See... I do respond to emails, just having a time keeping up with them!

This One Is For You Betty Crocker & Gooseberry Patch!

In honor of Betty Crocker and Gooseberry Patch being my first two followers on Twitter, I had to write this! I have been a fan of Betty Crocker since  my sister and I were baking in our Easy Bake Ovens when we were kids. So, imagine my surprise when I got notification that Betty was following me on Twitter! I have to say this was brilliant marketing but my childlike mind left that thought and I could just see my sister and I baking with our Easy Bake Ovens again. I have been a Betty Crocker fan since I was in Kindergarten. As I grew up, I became a fan of Gooseberry Patch. I love everything Gooseberry so I had to follow them too! And again I was surprised when they followed as well. It is still great marketing on their part but I choose to think of it a different way. Between Betty and Gooseberry they have helped me with so many teacher luncheons so I want to say Thanks. So, here's to you my first two Twitter fans! I totally love your stuff!
